I reeeally need to read The Book Thief! I feel kind of bad that I haven't read it yet (though Code Name Verity just destroyed my feels and I'm not sure I can take another war book just yet >_<). I've got The Firebird Mystery, too! It looks really quirky. :) My StS!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to start within the next fortnight. I picked up a copy and forgot that I bought in on Amazon quite a while ago and tried to read it once before, but wasn't in the mood. Fingers crossed for a second time lucky. I haven't heard of Code Name Verity, but will definitely be checking it out.
DeleteOooh thanks for the discount section, love it Kelly! I am so excited about These Broken Stars coming out on TV :) that will be awesome! Please do yourself a favour and watch the Book Thief before the movie. IT truly is a masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteWill do Jeann. I think reading the book first will probably make me appreciate it all the more. Have you read any of Markus Zusak's other books? I seen a few on my book shopping trip and wondered if he was more of a one trick pony.
DeleteThese look like some awesome reads! The Book Thief was great, although I didn't really care for the movie. I hope you enjoy everything! Happy Reading! :) And thank you for stopping by Unearthly Reviews last week. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Megan, lovely to see you. I really don't know much about the book or movie, as it isn't my usual read. I mainly wanted to see what all the hype is about. Sorry to see that you weren't a fan of the movie, I've seen a few reviews that have said it's really emotional.
DeleteNice haul - I've been wondering about The Book Thief myself.
ReplyDeleteHere's my STS
I certainly hope it lives up to all the hype and plan on starting it soon hopefully. Thanks for stopping by Bob.
DeleteI think I need this book "The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
ReplyDeleteby Leslye Walton"!
As for following blogs, I usually do my blog hops using Bloglovin. :)
It's such a beautiful cover, I actually let out a sigh when I opened the package from Walker Books Australia. The premise is a girl born with wings who needs to find out who she is. It had me at the night of the Summer Solstice celebration. Where the skies open up, rain and feathers fill the air. Just beautiful.
DeleteNice haul! I bought both ebooks of the Perfect Game when they were on sale the Monday after Thanksgiving! Still need to read them though!
ReplyDeleteHey Jen, thanks for stopping by. I read the first one and it didn't click with me, so not sure I'll move onto the second book or not. If you haven't read it yet, definitely snap up Flat Out Love. It's brilliant.
DeleteNot read any of these, but I will be reading The Book Thief soon :D It sounds so awesome. Yet heartbreaking. Sigh. Awesome haul :) Happy reading. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for commenting on my blog ages ago. <3
