Stacking The Shelves & Weekly Wrap #009

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online bookshops, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course eBooks. Hosted by Tyngas Reviews.

I've culled the amount of blogs I'm following via Google. It's not me... It really is you. Any blog that hasn't posted in the past year, I've set you free.
Awesome news, These Broken Stars is coming to the small screen. Read all about it here.

This week I received a few publisher paperbacks by surprise. Who doesn't love goodies in the mail?

  1. I reeeally need to read The Book Thief! I feel kind of bad that I haven't read it yet (though Code Name Verity just destroyed my feels and I'm not sure I can take another war book just yet >_<). I've got The Firebird Mystery, too! It looks really quirky. :) My StS!

    1. I'm hoping to start within the next fortnight. I picked up a copy and forgot that I bought in on Amazon quite a while ago and tried to read it once before, but wasn't in the mood. Fingers crossed for a second time lucky. I haven't heard of Code Name Verity, but will definitely be checking it out.

    1. Will do Jeann. I think reading the book first will probably make me appreciate it all the more. Have you read any of Markus Zusak's other books? I seen a few on my book shopping trip and wondered if he was more of a one trick pony.

    1. Hey Megan, lovely to see you. I really don't know much about the book or movie, as it isn't my usual read. I mainly wanted to see what all the hype is about. Sorry to see that you weren't a fan of the movie, I've seen a few reviews that have said it's really emotional.

    1. It's such a beautiful cover, I actually let out a sigh when I opened the package from Walker Books Australia. The premise is a girl born with wings who needs to find out who she is. It had me at the night of the Summer Solstice celebration. Where the skies open up, rain and feathers fill the air. Just beautiful.

    1. Hey Jen, thanks for stopping by. I read the first one and it didn't click with me, so not sure I'll move onto the second book or not. If you haven't read it yet, definitely snap up Flat Out Love. It's brilliant.
