About the author

David Estes was born in El Paso, Texas but moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when he was very young. David grew up in Pittsburgh and then went to Penn State for college. Eventually he moved to Sydney, Australia where he met his wife. A reader all his life, he began writing novels for the children's and YA markets in 2010, and started writing full time in June 2012. Now he travels the world writing with his wife, Adele. David's a writer with OCD, a love of dancing and singing (but only when no one is looking or listening), a mad-skilled ping-pong player, and prefers writing at the swimming pool to writing at a table.

Stay tuned for my interview with Perry the Prickler coming tomorrow.

  1. Thanks SO MUCH Kelly! You did an UNBELIEVABLE job of setting up and managing the Fire Country Book Birthday, couldn't have done it without you!!

    1. Thanks David, but of course you could have. Your work speaks for itself. Happy birthday Fire Country and can't wait to share my interview with Perry, it's so sassy and brilliantly funny.

  2. Woah. He sold more than 10,000 books in one year?! Am I reading that right? (I hope I'm not because that doesn't sound possible. o.O) But still! Sounds awesome and looks awesome and I'm off to Smashwords...

    1. He certainly did Cait. Hop on the bandwagon, this kid is going places. If he doesn't nab a publisher by the end of the year, I'll eat my hat.

Can't wait to see what you think of Fire Country, it's definitely one of my favourites.
