When he washes up upon the island a second time, he has discovered the 'first five' shipwreck. The Elementris history seems to delve deeper than those of the council would care to admit.
The Vangeretta Curse series is unique series, likened to that of a cross between Hex Hall and the Sweetest Dark. Ava is essentially Mother Nature, and it is her role to balance the weather around the world, sending rain to dry parched land and sunshine to gloomy skies. She rules others born of the element, where every seven years, five babies born on the same day and at the exact same time are bound by the gifts of the spirit, wind, earth, fire and water.
I really enjoyed the first in the series, Elementris, but I couldn't fathom the relationship between the prickly Lyssa and sweet country boy clutch guard Thomas. Where Ava grew and matured before our eyes, Lyssa just seems like a aggressive brat. I love Brea, she's flightly and hyperactive and I'm hoping to see her take a chance on Shaun in the next in the series.
Be warned, there IS a happy ending, but the revelation will leave you feeling dependent and needy for book three.
