Die For Her by Amy Plum

Set in the romantic and death defying world of the international bestselling Die for Me trilogy, this digital original novella follows Jules, a brooding, immortal French artist who has fallen in love with his best friend’s girlfriend.

Jules Marchenoir is a revenant, an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save human lives. He’s spent the better part of the last century flirting his way through Paris, but when he met Kate Mercier, the heroine from Amy Plum’s Die for Me trilogy, he knew his afterlife had changed forever and he had found the love of his life. Until Kate fell for his best friend, Vincent. Now Jules is faced with an impossible decision: choosing between his loyal friend and a love truly worth dying for

Before the release of If I Should Die, Die For Her is the story of the single, and sexy, revenant Jules from the Die For Me trilogy. Jules is a self proclaimed bachelor, he loves women like a fine wine, but never allows them to become more than a passing fling. He can't reveal that he is immortal. Although centuries old, he will never age past nineteen, and will never spend his life pining over any woman... Until he meets Kate.

Kate is graceful, achingly beautiful and very much taken. She is in love with Vincent. Jules knows that he can never have her but nevertheless, she has become the object of his possession. He'll do anything to keep her safe, not just for Vincent's sake, but for his own.

I love the Die For Me trilogy, but this novella was brilliant. Of course, I'm biased, I adore Jules and would love to see he and Kate together in the final novel of the series... And I'm sure I'm not alone. If you weren't in love with the romantic, dashing and charismatic Jules before reading Die For Her, you certainly will be now.
