Fate has brought them together. But will it also keep them apart? Having moved to a strange town, 17 year old Joey Gray is feeling a little lost, until she meets a cute, mysterious boy near her new home. But there’s a very good reason why Tristan Halloway is always to be found roaming in the local graveyard. Perfect for fans of Stephenie Meyer and Lauren Kate, The Lost Boys is a magical, romantic tale of girl meets ghost.
Like most bloggers, each week I'm inundated with nonsense spam comments. Luckily, my comments are filtered and almost all unwanted guests are sent to my spam folder. It's almost entertainment in itself. I assume that even spam finds itself lost in translation, so each week, I'd like to share a few of my cut and paste moments. All names and websites shall be omitted.
A guest list needs to bе created and invitations need to be decided upon anԁ mailed out to everyone concerned. One οf my fondest moments was giving my daughter heг first bath. While no one can say that it's hard to cook soup, there would also be no one that would refuse this type of fooԁ when it's offered to them.
Say what? Now I know you parents out there are fond of celebrating milestones, but that's just ridiculous... I don't care what kind of soup you're serving.

It’s the near future, and scientists have developed implants that treat brain dysfunction, and also make recipients capable of superhuman feats. Exploiting societal fears of the newly enhanced, politicians pass a set of laws to restrict the rights of 'amplified' humans, instantly creating a new persecuted underclass known as 'amps.' On the day that the Supreme Court passes the first of these laws, twenty nine year old schoolteacher Owen Gray is forced into hiding, only dimly aware of the latent powers he possesses. To escape imprisonment, and to find out who he really is, Owen seeks out a community in Oklahoma where, it is rumored, a group of the most enhanced amps may be about to change the world, or destroy it.

After defying the ruthless Enclave, surviving the wasteland, and upending the rigid matriarchy of Sylum, Gaia Stone now faces her biggest challenge ever. She must lead the people of Sylum back to the Enclave and persuade the Protectorat to grant them refuge from the wasteland. In Gaia's absence, the Enclave has grown more cruel, more desperate to experiment on mothers from outside the wall, and now the stakes of cooperating or rebelling have never been higher. Is Gaia ready, as a leader, to sacrifice what, or whom, she loves most?
Thanks to Putnam, I'm giving away an ARC paperback copy of Scan, the brilliant new series by author S. E Fine and Walter Jury (who produced the Divergent movie). This ARC paperback is not yet available in Australia, but I've got an extra copy to giveaway to one lucky Australian resident.
Tate and his father don’t exactly get along. As Tate sees it, his father has unreasonably high expectations for Tate to be the best, at everything. Tate finally learns what he’s being prepared for when he steals one of his dad’s odd tech inventions and mercenaries ambush the school, killing his father in the process and sending Tate on the run from aliens who look just like humans.
Even with all he knows like how to defend himself with useful tools made out of bubblegum, Tate fears he’s still inadequate. With the help of his girlfriend and estranged mother, all Tate can really do is keep moving and ensure his father’s invention stays out of the hands of his pursuers and that his father didn’t die in vain. A riveting, fast-paced adventure, Scan is a clever alien thriller with muscle and heart.
See my review of Scan here, and good luck to everyone who enters.

Mila has an exceptional talent for reading a room, sensing hidden facts and unspoken emotions from clues that others overlook. So when her father’s best friend, Matthew, goes missing from his upstate New York home, Mila and her beloved father travel from London to find him. She collects information about Matthew from his belongings, from his wife and baby, from the dog he left behind and from the ghosts of his past, slowly piecing together the story everyone else has missed. But just when she’s closest to solving the mystery, a shocking betrayal calls into question her trust in the one person she thought she could read best.
