Black Ice Book Trailer Release

Black Ice
Written by Becca Fitzpatrick
Expected publication October 7th 2014
Published by Simon and Schuster Australia
Britt Pfeiffer has never been that adventurous, but that's about to change. Wanting to impress her exboyfriend, Britt convinces best friend, Korbie, to take a trekking trip with her. But when a freak storm leaves the girls stranded they seek shelter in a cabin, where they find two knights in shining armour. Or so they think.

Britt quickly realises that the girls need to get off the mountain, fast. In exchange for her life, she is forced to guide the boys down, and as they set out on a harrowing journey through the cold and snow, Britt realises the only way to escape with her life is to pretend she is on their side. But is gorgeous, sexy Mason an enemy or an ally? Tension mounts, and it's only a matter of time before things turn deadly.
To say I'm excited to read Black Ice is an understatement. Going by the synopsis, it sounds as though not only has Becca Fitzpatrick's writing matured, but she's created a survival thriller set in the middle of nowhere that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. A far cry from the brooding fallen angel in Hush Hush, I'm looking forward to devouring Black Ice next week. So while you wait to see what I think of it or score a copy for yourself, check out the book trailer below.

  1. I admit that I've been a bit hesitant to read this because of all the controversy surrounding Hush, Hush, but it definitely sounds like Becca's writing and storytelling has definitely improved! Looking forward to seeing what this holds. Thanks for sharing Kelly! <3

    1. I can understand that Zoe, it was one of those books that was either loved or loathed, but this one looks incredibly unique. I've seen a few of the early reviews from readers who disliked Hush Hush, but really enjoyed Black Ice, so I'm even more excited now.

  2. I do love the cover... but I haven't read Hush, Hush yet. Her previous books just doesn't call me too much, but I think maybe I'll give this one a try. :3

  4. Usually I'm not a fan of book trailers, but that was quite awesome! And creepy! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK. Even though I, er, *cough* haven't read Hush, Hush, yet. But I have it out on audio now, so I'm going to listen to it before Black Ice comes out. ^-^

    1. Yeah, I don't tend to watch many either. Most of them are pretty dodgy, but caught this one because I'm looking forward to reading it and was surprised how cinematic it is. I wouldn't go by how much you'll enjoy Hush Hush in regards to Black Ice, it seems her writing has matured quite a lot since then.

    1. Me too Renee! It looks incredibly different to the Hush Hush series, which was too young for me, but this looks AMAZING! I love an awesome young adult thriller.
