Stacking The Shelves #007 Christmas Edition

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online bookshops, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks. Hosted by Tyngas Reviews.
Welcome to the special Christmas edition of Stacking the Shelves. I'll get straight into it, as there is a whole lot to get through this week.

Publisher paperbacks received in the last week:

Unbreakable by Kami Garcia. Thank you to the incredible Simon and Schuster Australia
Bird by Crystal Chan and How They Met and Other Stories by David Levithan. Thank you to the lovely people at Text Publishing.
The Simple Gift by Steven Herrick. Thank you to the fabulous University of Queensland Publishing.

Book related Christmas gifts this week include: A Kindle Fire HD reader. Awesome device, but doesn't appreciate non Amazon purchased books (there goes Netgalley). The Hogwarts library and Harry Potter adventure box sets, and the combined Hobbit and Lord of the Rings box set.

Browsing bargains on Amazon, I bought a few gems that were practically free this week:

The Wizard of Oz Collection. It's only a dollar and all fifteen books and audiobook access.
Anathema by K. A Tucker (author of Ten Tiny Breaths). It's currently free.
Storm Shells by G. J Walker Smith. I love this series. Book one in the series is free.

What did you stack your shelves with this week?

  1. Ooh, very nice, very nice. Did you get a Kindle or the book on the Kindle? :) Either way, awesome. There is nothing like a boxset of (matching) new books. I'm going to check out Anathema if it's free!

    1. Hey Cait and merry Christmas! I was rushing to just get the post done, I forgot to pop a description done (have now edited it). I got a Kindle Fire HD. It's a pretty impressive reader, but it's super distracting with games, applications and movies on there. I love that I can read a few books and my notes and highlights save separately, makes it easier when reviewing.

It hates non Amazon books though, so author sent, Netgalley, they all save as documents, not books. Apart from that, I'm in love with it!

Just hover and click the title in the post and it'll take you there.

  2. Unbreakable looks like an awesome book, but I have yet to read it! It's been on my TBR list since before it came out, though. Happy reading. :)
