Stacking The Shelves #004

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online bookshops, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks. Hosted by Tyngas Reviews.

This week I received a few digital copies for review...

The Lost Boys by Lilian Carmine. Thank you to Random House UK.
Forever by Karen Ann Hopkins. Book three in the Temptation series. Thank you to Harlequin.
The Eve by Keary Taylor. Book three in The Eden Trilogy. Thank you to Keary Taylor herself.
The Ever After Of Ella And Micha by Jessica Sorensen. Thank you to Grand Central Publishing.

This week I purchased...

The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters and The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan.
World After by Susan Ee. Book two in the Penryn and the End of Days series.

Also this week, my first article for ibrary, Brisbane City Council's website for high school students was published. You can find my musings on ideal gifts for the book lover HERE. Feel free to like me and share me. What are you stacking your shelves with this week?

    1. I think I'm going to have to start World After soon, I've got so many series finales backed up first though. I'm bracing myself for disappointment already.

  5. You got some great looking books this week. I heard some great things abut the Percy Jackson series, but I am not sure whether it's a series for me. I hope you enjoy your books! I enjoyed reading your post about ideal gifts for booklovers, that librarian book tote is so cute!

    1. I was thrilled to have received an email from Keary Taylor with a copy. The series is absolutely brilliant, it reminds me of The Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa, it's just that good. Thanks for stopping by Jen.

    1. It wasn't too bad Andrea, I've already reviewed it here. I hate to leave a series unfinished, but I don't think there was any need for a third book. Or second. Wrapping up the storyline within a standalone would have sufficed.

  8. I hope you like World After! I'm sad to say that I didn't like it quite as much as Angelfall.. the end was awesome though!

    1. Hey Ash, thanks for popping by. I remember when I first started Angelfall, I thought the start was ridiculous, but glad I stuck with it. World After has had a few mixed reviews, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get into it.

  9. Woooot! Go Percy Jackson! (I'm shockingly behind on all of these. I read the first...but it was awesome and I want to finish the series. I just need, like, another day in my week. Or another month in my year strictly reserved for reading.) I read the first in the Eden Trilogy, but it didn't click with me. Still! Hope you enjoy your delicious haul!
Thanks for stopping by my StS! ! ;)

    1. Hey Cait.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't read any of the Percy Jackson's, but I seen the boxset on TBD and thought what the hell, I can't resist a bargain. They sound awesome though. Can't wait to start them.

  12. I adore the Percy Jackson books! It's funny - the covers are quite different there than they are here in America. I've heard a lot about World After as well! Happy reading. :)

    1. I think every so often, the publishers probably rebrand them to give them a new lease on life. I think the newer covers look a bit more eye catching than the old ones, looking forward to cracking them open soon.

      Thanks for stopping by Emma.

    1. Hey Shoshanah and thanks for popping in.
You're already one up on me, I haven't read any of them, but have been looking for a new series to get into while I wait for a few series to end. I read quite a bit and it's becoming more and more difficult to find decent books that I haven't read before. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the second in the series.
