It's a night like any other on board the Icarus. Then, catastrophe strikes: the massive luxury spaceliner is yanked out of hyperspace and plummets to the nearest planet. Lilac LaRoux and Tarver Merendsen survive. And they seem to be alone.

Lilac is the daughter of the richest man in the universe. Tarver comes from nothing, a young war hero who learned long ago that girls like Lilac are more trouble than they're worth. But with only each other to rely on, Lilac and Tarver must work together, making a tortuous journey across the eerie, deserted terrain to seek help.

Then, against all odds, Lilac and Tarver find a strange blessing in the tragedy that has thrown them into each other's arms. Without the hope of a future together in their own world, they begin to wonder, would they be better off staying in this place forever?

Everything changes when they uncover the truth behind the chilling whispers that haunt their every step. Lilac and Tarver may find a way off this planet. But they won't be the same people who landed on it.

The first in a sweeping science fiction trilogy, These Broken Stars is a timeless love story about hope and survival in the face of unthinkable odds.
The Icarus is by far the most luxurious ship to come from the orbital dock. Boasting over fifty thousand people aboard, from the rich social heiress and media darling Lilac LaRoux, to the decorated war hero Major Tarver Merendsen, the general population of the ship taking the fastest route to their destination, to friends, family and the soldiers in the lower decks who are on their way to one of the colonies, to stop the latest rebellion. During a lavish party upon the ship, Tarver notices Lilac waiting for her traveling companions. A natural beauty that is as cruel as she is unobtainable. But Lilac can't be seen enjoying the company of a backwater boy, even if he is a decorated soldier. Being an only child of an overprotective father means Lilac's social interactions are limited. She's the heiress to LaRoux Industries and the wealthiest girl in the galaxy, but Major Merendsen doesn't seem to know who she is.

A strange shudder begins to roll throughout the decks, bouts of passengers being spacesick has never been seen before on a luxury ship. An announcement attempting to calm the passengers blares over he digital screens, the Icarus is having difficulty with the hyperspace engines and has suffered substantial damage as a result of the dimensional displacement. The ship is being torn out of hyperspace when Tarver catches a glimpse of an enormous metallic object through the ship windows, large enough to pull the Icarus from her flight path. The panicked passengers being to surge into a riotous sea, fleeing to the escape pods when Tarver hears a distinctive scream and rushes through the crowd to save Miss LaRoux. No one on board could have predicted what was to come.

For a moment the image before us is frozen. Our world, our lives, reduced to a handful broken stars half lost in uncharted space. Then it's gone, the view swallowed by the hyperspace winds streaming past, blue green auroras wiping the after images away.

Until all that's left is us.

The standard escape pod the unlikely pair have boarded is still firmly attached to the Icarus, and without Lilac's intimate knowledge of the ship the two would have perished. Rerouting the wires, the pod careers past the same reflective metallic object and tumbles towards an unknown planet. Lilac is battered and bruised, insisting they remain with the pod as their best chance of rescue, but Tarver is in his element. The planet has been terraformed, trees dotting the landscape with signs of plant life, and clean air. Still dressed in an evening gown and shoes that are impossible to navigate the rough terrain in, Lilac follows Tarver to explore the new world as pieces of flaming debris are falling from the sky. The Icarus is dying, her father's ship is in ruins, falling from the sky and heading towards her final resting place within the mountain range beyond the vast plains. Lilac worries what will happen to Major Meredsen when their rescue arrives, to be seen alone with the social darling could not only end his career, but his life. And for Lilac, it wouldn't be the first time.

They need to make it to the wreckage site of the Icarus if they want any chance to be rescued, they'll need to walk for what could possibly be days, if they don't stumble upon a colony first. Already on edge with one another, they set off for the mountain range. Lilac is determined not to become a liability, but with strange big cats roaming the forest, they both walk with a weary unease. It isn't until they camp for the night, when Lilac hears the first signs of human life, whispers beyond the forest and a woman quietly sobbing. But there is no sign of anyone there, there are no rescue crafts in the atmosphere, and no other signs of life... Except for the whispers that plague Lilac. The voices are nothing more than muffled whispers, causing Lilac to shake and sweat through what Tarver believes are hallucinations as he can't hear the gentle and softly spoken words.

Lilac knows the voices want to help them on their journey, guiding their way to safety. But as they approach the fallen ship, it becomes clear that there is something greater the voices are guiding them towards, but will they survive the new alien world until their rescue comes... If it comes at all.

Kelly's Thoughts

These Broken Stars was phenomenal. Rarely does a book lure me in so quickly, but it was simply perfection. Told in dual points of view, the illustrious Lilac, wealthy socialite and oppressed teen. She's the only daughter of a single parent, her over protective and controlling father having lost Lilac's mother years ago. He's wealthy, powerful and influential which is the reason why Lilac keeps acquaintances at an arm's length, including Tarver. Tarver is a simple boy that has returned from war as a hero. His new found status has thrust him into a vain and materialistic world. Two worlds collide when the Icarus hits trouble and the soldier and heiress learn to enable one another to survive.

It's clear the annoyance with one another is fused with an attraction that neither of them cares to admit, but slowly a romance blossoms, a deep respect and mutual admiration forms between the two. I absolutely loved the fusion between science fiction, romance, fantasy and survival. It was intriguing, the storyline was unpredictable and kept me on the edge of my seat. Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner have created a completely seamless partnership, a beautiful yet dangerous world, a multitude of secrets and phenomenons and a romance that defies boundaries. These girls are utterly brilliant, I'd read their shopping list if they stuck a cover on it.

Waterfell By Amalie Howard ARC Publisher Review

Nerissa Marin hides among teens in her human form, waiting for the day she can claim her birthright, the undersea kingdom stolen from her the day her father was murdered. Blending in is her best weapon, until her father's betrayer confronts Nerissa and challenges her to a battle to the death on Nerissa's upcoming birthday, the day she comes of age.

Amid danger and the heartbreak of her missing mother, falling for a human boy is the last thing Nerissa should do. But Lo Seavon breaches her defenses and somehow becomes the only person she can count on to help her desperate search for her mother, a prisoner of Nerissa's mortal enemy. Is Lo the linchpin that might win Nerissa back her crown? Or will this mortal boy become the weakness that destroys her?

Nerissa is a junior, star of the Dover Preparatory field hockey team, orphan and princess to an underwater kingdom, a title she neither wants or cares for. Rissa has spent her life studying humans, and now she finds herself blending and living amongst them, the human's are none the wiser. She is the only living heir to her father's throne, the Gold Court. Once turning seventeen and coming of age, Riss is expected to rule the High Court, but after her father was murdered, her mother having passed when Nerissa was young, the High Court is now taken over by Ehmora, the tyrant ruler of the opposing Ruby Court. But Rissa isn't interested in the politics of Waterfell or the governing body, returning to her spiritual home or her royal duty.

The water calls to Rissa and her kindred, much in the same wat that it attracts surfer, and new boy at school Lotherius, or Lo as he is affectionately known. The Aquarathi don't usually tend to feel emotional connections with humans, and apart from Nissa's bond with best friend and human Jenna, so when she feels an instant connection with Lo, she believes it's due to being on the verge of Dvija. Dvija is the coming of age transition in which the Aquarathi find a mate, and bond with her own kind. But Lo is persistent, and little by little, she begins to experience the raw human emotion, love.

The only family Riss has now are her royal guardians, Echlios who is responsible for her physical development and his mate Soren, who will groom and prepare Riss as the royal High Court heir and their son Speio, who poses as her foster brother. Her time away from her kingdom is a chance to involve herself in ensuring the preservation of the ocean in which the Aquarathi call home, it isn't until she stumbles upon Ehmora, that she realises she is the only hope Waterfell has of becoming a fair and free kingdom again. But when Riss collapses at school, she has no option but to break the carnal rule of the Aquarathi, to tell human best friend Jenna who she really is. Surprisingly, Jenna not only will fiercely keep Rissa's secret, but she may proove to be a greater asset than Riss realised.

As Rissa's relationship develops with Lo, the two become inseparable, speaking long into the night. But Rissa realises that she knows nothing about the boy she seems to be falling for, but soon becomes one of the few people she can trust. Can she tell him what she really is? As her training begins, Rissa's father's warning has never been clearer, to never return to Waterfell, but how can she turn her back on her people, on those who showed their loyal support and trust of her father, a man who Ehmora murdered simply to take over the court. Ehmora wants Riss dead, the only living heir to the Kingdom and sends assassins after her, immersing them within Nissa's trusted allies.  But it seems that Ehmora has other plans, these aren't human assassin's and nor are they Aquarathi, they are a mixture of spliced DNA.

The new race of hybrids aren't bound to the Aquarathi laws and undetectable to their keen sense of kindred. Rissa didn't believe it was possible, for inter species breeding, being able to mate and reproduce with a human. Ehmora wants to dominate both land and water and is suspected to be creating a hybrid army. Just in time, as Nerissa suddenly comes into her own, the raw power and strength running through her waterborn being, the new queen has now come of age.

But as she follows the trail hoping to find who has breached her trust, who is working with Ehmora within the network of those working against her, she realises that there are very few people she can trust. It won't be just one who has betrayed her and sometimes It's who you least expect could be working with the enemy. But are they really working towards Nerissa's demise?

Waterfell wasn't a tale of an underwater city, of pretty beings living amongst us, it's the struggle Rissa faces with accepting who she is and what is expected of her. Rissa is a sea monster known as an Aquarathi, born to another planet, but now her people have settled within the deepest parts of our oceans. It was a brilliant concept and the characters were not only engaging, but likable. The storyline was a mixture of what felt like a contemporary young adult, when Nissa struggles with her feelings of being an average teen girl on the verge of becoming a woman, her first crush, a loyal best friend, her overprotective foster brother and where her loyalties lie. I loved the relationship between Riss and best friend Jenna, that true friendship knows no bounds, even when one is another species altogether.

The storyline does touch on sexual content, but keeping it within the confines appropriate for teen readers. It's well written and the plot twists will keep you on your toes. I'm now eagerly awaiting what Amalie has in store for the second in the series. I'm imagining a beautiful underwater world, magically and mystical. Just beautiful.

Fangirl By Rainbow Rowell

Cath is a Simon Snow fan.

Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan . . .

But for Cath, being a fan is her life, and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids, it’s what got them through their mother leaving. Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere.

Cath’s sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can’t let go. She doesn’t want to. Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn't want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. She’s got a surly roommate with a charming, always around boyfriend, a fiction writing professor who thinks fan fiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words... And she can’t stop worrying about her dad, who’s loving and fragile and has never really been alone.

For Cath, the question is: Can she do this?

Can she make it without Wren holding her hand? Is she ready to start living her own life? Writing her own stories? And does she even want to move on if it means leaving Simon Snow behind?

Cather, otherwise known as Cath, is on the verge of her freshman year at college with twin sister Wren. The sister's have always shared a close bond... Up until now. While Wren is an outgoing party girl, Cath is a shy recluse, spending all of her free time writing fan fiction for the popular Simon Snow series. Now Cath faces the turmoil of college life alone when Wren wants her freedom, to be an individual and not seen as a twin. For introvert Cath, she's never felt more alone. She's always relied upon her single father and twin, but now all Cath has to keep her company, is Simon Snow... And the occasional text from not quite boyfriend Abel.

It's just Cath's luck, to be stuck with a surly and intrusive room mate. Bad mannered Reagan isn't interested in bonding with Cath, she has a life of her own... Including tag along boyfriend Levi, who's strangely, always smiling. Considering his relationship with the prickly Reagan, Cath isn't sure what the lanky boy has to smile about. She never dreamed that college would be so exhaustive, her successful fan fiction Carry On, Simon is pushed to the back burner, much to the frustration to Magicath's thousands of fans. It isn't long before Reagan realises how pathetic Cath's college life has become, her only regular meals are energy bars and jars of peanut butter, Cath has no idea where the cafeteria is located. Not to be mortified any further, Reagan takes pity on her and thankfully being her charity case only requires Cath to aide in Reagan's ridicule of other students.

The handsome Nick soon becomes a new fixture in Cath's life, he's a fellow student in the illustrious fiction writing class. Just when Cath's life seems to be improving, socially at least, her not quite boyfriend Abel meets someone else. Cath should have seen it coming, their three year relationship has never been real and explains why Cath doesn't feel heartbroken as she probably should. Regardless, Reagan sees it as an opportunity to broaden Cath's horizons, with Levi becoming the tag along, preferring to dote after Cath. Levi is captivated by Cath's fan fiction. He's never been much of a reader, finding that he can't grasp words on a page and absorb them. When his study partner Reagan is busy, with one of many boyfriends, Cath takes pity on Levi and reads through the night as a source of revision. The experience bringing the two closer than ever, both emotionally and physically, being her room mates boyfriend being momentary forgotten.

Just when Cath begins to live life as she should, twin Wren's, is spiraling out of control. She has distanced herself from Cath, binge drinking and losing control. When the girls were abandoned at only thirteen years old by their mother, who wasn't cut out to raise children, the girls and their father fell apart, and seemingly, their sense of abandonment has never been fully resolved. Now that their mother is back, the past brings up painful memories, Her father isn't coping again and Wren is drinking herself into a stupor. Cath's life begins to unravel while she attempts to hold onto the new world she's constructed. Her relationship with Levi, the approval of room mate Reagan, her father's mental breakdown and Wren's hospital admittance. She's not cut out for fiction writing, and can't stray from her Simon Snow fan fiction, and is determined to finish Carry On, two years in the making, before the eighth and final book in the series is released.

But Cath has more than just Simon Snow in her life, but will she be able to step away from the characters and see the story of her life that is waiting to be lived?

I was itching to get my hands on a copy of Fangirl, becoming a fan of Rainbow Rowell after reading Eleanor & Park, but I was so disappointed. I just didn't get it. It wasn't the quirky, offbeat romance that I had expected it to be. I kept waiting for it, the point where the book builds into a specific event that holds significance, but it never came. If it did, I missed it, thus missing the point entirely. Cath was dull, beyond nerdom which evidently may have provided her with a personality. For a girl who was surrounded by bright and brilliant characters, she was just too bland in comparison.

I found myself skimming though, especially the Carry On scenes. It was too much going from snippets from a Harry Potter fantasy world, back to the life of the monotonous Cath. I desperately wanted to love it, I needed to like it, but I ended up begging myself just to endure it.

American Girl On Saturn By Nikki Godwin

The summer after graduation is supposed to be that first real taste of freedom, but not for eighteen year old Chloe Branson. Just as that breeze of freedom is making its way into her galaxy, her secret service agent dad drops a meteor sized bomb of bad news on her and her sisters. An attempt has been made on the lives of Canadian boyband, Spaceships Around Saturn, during their USA tour, and the guys have to go into hiding ASAP. The only problem? In the midst of the crisis and media frenzy, their dad volunteered to hide the guys... In their house.

Six year old Emery is as ecstatic as any self-proclaimed Saturnite would be, but Chloe and her seventeen year old sister Aralie watch their summer plans crash and burn like a falling star. The SAS guys aren't happy with the situation, either. Bad boy Jules picks fights with Aralie about everything from his Twitter followers to his laundry, and heart throb Benji can't escape Emery's fangirlisms for more than three minutes.

But after the super cute Milo kisses Chloe during a game of hide and seek, she finally understands what Emery means when she talks about SAS being 'out of this world.' If this is what Saturn feels like, Chloe doesn't want to come back to Earth.

When Chloe's secret service agent father announces that it's time to come home for Vanilla ice cream, Chloe and sister Aralie assumes his secret code means that whatever crisis they're facing, doesn't involve the family... She couldn't have been more wrong. Vanilla disasters are usually unforeseen forced of nature, an earthquake or tornado, even the occasional inmate on the run and nothing could prepare her for the storm that is about to blow through the Branson household. Five members of the biggest Canadian boyband in the world, a house on lock down and a six year old little sister who is abnormally obsessed. With Spaceships Around Saturn invading their home this summer, anything could happen.

The boys have no option, but to remain at the safe house on lock down, after shots were fired at their latest concert in New York City and now share a house with the Branson sisters, Chloe, Aralie and Saturnite, six year old Emery, who has devoted her existence to Spaceships Around Saturn frontman, Benji. Band members Benji, along with the tattooed brunette Noah, Tate, resident bad boy Jules and Milo, the only member of Spaceships Around Saturn that seems to have any maturity or common sense. The girls are forced to cancel their summer plans, much to the disgust of Chloe's best friend Paige, her social standing has already left her with the unfortunate label Ice Queen, after her breakup with Deacon. She has the most popular boyband sharing her house, her summer is officially cancelled... And she can't tell a soul.

Twenty year old Milo has always been the sensible and dependable one, but finds himself smitten with the eldest Branson sister, and Chloe can't help but swoon under his gaze. The housebound strike up an easy friendship, with feelings of wanting much more threatening to spill into an awkward and uncomfortable house. For a megastar who is supposedly out of this world, Milo is down to earth and a gentle soul. The two begin engaging in midnight strolls to collect fireflies, hangout in a treehouse and midnight swims, keeping their blossoming relationship quiet from her fellow earth sisters and Milo's Saturn brothers. They aren't as discreet as first thought, but they aren't the only couple in the house sneaking around.

Some of the boys are in meltdown mode, Jules needing his cigarettes, apparently smelling of crushed ladybugs, Benji's lack of Tweeting turns the Branson's fridge into a message center and Chloe being the temporary tattoo artist, inking the boys with her Sharpies. It isn't until the boys leave with Mister Branson, on a much needed fishing trip to relax and escape the little Saturnite Emery, does the house seem sad and empty... And all the Branson ladies are feeling lost.

But when the boys return and the news that the shooter has been taken into custody filters through, can an Earth bound girl an a superstar from Saturn have a relationship without being lockdowned?

I absolutely adored American Girl On Saturn. It was funny, charming and boytatsic. It was the initially the stunning cover that drew me in, but I was following author Christina Channelle's status updates while she was reading through, and I simply had to have it... And it didn't disappoint, whatsoever. It surpassed my expectations and once I begun reading, I couldn't put it down. It's one of those titles that will cheer you up, pull you out of a book funk and leave you warm and fuzzy.

I haven't had the pleasure of reading anything that Nikki Godwin has wrote before, but I'm certainly a fan now and will be seeking out her other releases. No doubt, you'll fall in love with Spaceships Around Saturn too. I'm not afraid to declare, I'm now a fully fledged Saturnite too.

My Unexpected Forever By Heidi McLaughlin

I expected a life of music.
I expected to raise my son.
It took one look to make everything change.
I never expected happiness.

I never expected to find her.
I never expected to feel desire.
I never expected I’d be a family man.
I never expected to be loved.
I never expected to fall in love.

They say you should expect the unexpected, I didn’t realize my unexpected would be the forever kind

Katelyn is a single mother, struggling to make ends meet and mourning the loss of her beloved husband, and high school sweetheart, Mason. Mason died tragically and unexpectedly almost ten months ago, ripping Katelyn's world apart, now she relies on six year old twin daughters, Elle, Payton and best friend Josie to keep her from falling apart. A snap decision sees Katelyn volunteering for the position to become manager of 4225 West, Liam's successful L.A band, and fears that she may have bitten off more than she can chew, especially when West's drummer, tattooed single father Harrison, moves to Beaumont with son Quinn.

Harrison is a single father and has packed up his life in exchange for a stable and normal life with Quinn, following bandmate and friend Liam to the sleepy town of Beaumont... And Katelyn is just a bonus. Harrison knows that Katelyn is off limits and won't allow herself to open up to another man since Mason's death, but Harrison would rather keep their strained friendship, that not have her in his life at all. Now that Katelyn's become the band's manager, he'll never escape her, and just falls that little bit harder each day. But when their new manager books a road tour with an up and coming artist, the band, Josie, the kids, Katelyn and Harrison, all hit the road. Sharing a tour bus, hotels and downtime is the last thing that Katelyn needs... As she finds herself growing attracted to the affectionate and attentive father. But how soon is too soon, and is she worthy of being happy with someone again?

Katelyn is struggling to come to terms with Harrison's role in her life. Outgoing daughter Elle, has the tattooed rock god wrapped around her little finger, while Payton pulls away and becomes distant, choosing only to spend her time with Liam. She's angry and Katelyn fears that her sweet little girl will never accept her father's death, when Katelyn is barely coping herself. Her newly fledged career as the band manager is in shambles, when she seemingly double books the group, resulting in the tour being cancelled. Katelyn may be inexperienced, but she's resourceful and vigilant... It seems someone may be messing with no only her livelihood, but the band's as well.

Josie and Liam have finally set a date and plan on a getaway weekend to celebrate before the big day. The tension between Katelyn and Harrison, can be cut with a knife, while she struggles to deal with falling for someone that couldn't be more unlike Mason. The sparks fly and the two toy with the idea of a private relationship, hiding their affection from the kids until they're both certain this is what they want.

Ex manager Sam is sniffing around 4225 West again, and where there's Sam... There's always trouble. Can Katelyn trust her heart or is the prospect of a new relationship and family, bound to break her heart all over again?

My Unexpected Forever tells the story of single Dad Harrison, and widower Katelyn, each the best friend of Josie and Liam, book one in the Beaumont series. Katelyn is struggling with her husband's death, the funeral bringing Liam back into Josie's life, and bringing Harrison with him. Twins Elle and Payton have already formed a bond with Harrison's son Quinn, having adapted to the quiet life of Beaumont, far removed from bustling L.A.

It's clear that Katelyn and Harrison are both attracted to one another, but with the importance of their respective children's feelings, neither are willing to upset the close family unit, including their closest friends. The story of two single parents, testing the waters of new and uncharted territory is heartwarming, sizzling and hopeful. I preferred My Unexpected Forever, compared to Forever My Girl. It felt more realistic, emotional and I enjoyed every moment.

Will these two find the happily ever after they both so sorely deserve?

The Earth Dwellers Book Blast • Review • Giveaway & Freebie

Your favorite Dwellers and Country Saga characters come together in this epic seventh book!

As President Borg Lecter threatens to annihilate the Country tribes in order to expand his glass-domed empire, Adele ventures into the belly of the beast. Her only hope of survival is the consolidation of Dwellers and Country power before it’s too late.

Former demagogue President Nailin is eliminated, yet civil unrest infects every alliance. To save Adele, President Tristan faces his greatest challenge yet: unifying unfriendly Dwellers in the Tri-Realms to raise an army against Lecter. Meanwhile, Dazz must convince the Ice Country leaders to march with Siena and the Tri-Tribes on the gates of the Glass City.

The world sits on the edge of a knife. Will Adele, Tristan, Dazz, and Siena defeat Lecter and his army of killers before the Glassies wipe them off the face of the Earth?

GoodreadsAdele and Tristan, against all odds, have breached the surface and are now trapped in a world where the sky bleeds, the sun burns and the natives have taken them captive, accusing the duo of being Glassies. Siena, Skye and Wilde believe their two captives are indirectly responsible for murdering the people of Fire Country, declaring war in the newly established Tri Tribes. But they are more alike than they would care to admit, seeking unity within their respective communities, after Tristan and Adele killed former president Nailin, Tristan's father. The Tri Tribes have a battle looming against president Lector of the Glassies, but not without the help of the future Unity Alliance, and Dazz representing the Tri Tribes.

The Unity Alliance isn't on the agenda for the representatives of Ice Country, voting for an alliance with the Glassies and President Lector, on the condition that all three thousand citizens of Ice Country are to move to the New City, within the Dome. Dazz is on alert, the forced escort soldiers making the community on the move, uneasy. Why would the alliance send so many soldiers, when the Icers had an armed escort? As a riot within the group forms, one thing is abundantly clear, they must stand and fight against the soldiers, the Glassies and President Lector. This isn't war, it's Genocide.

Adele and Tristan have joined forces with the Tri Tribes, the only way to end Lector is to infiltrate the New City, taking the fight to the Glassies. Having spent her life living within the Moon Realm underground, Adele is their only hope, posing as a fallen soldier and aiding access to the elusive domed city. In three days, the group plans to attack, but Tristan didn't count on the unrest between the underground Realms, to which now he is president, as Roc and Tawni bring word from below. Tristan has three days to unite the Tri Realms and stop the civil unrest between the generals and the rebels, including Adele's mother General Rose. His mission, to convince the soldiers from the Tri Realms to accompany him to the surface, to fight alongside the Tri Tribes. With an overwhelming show of solidarity, Tristan's final plea for unity, may just have worked. The former, now deceased President Nailin, had been hiding crucial information from the leaders of the Sun Realm, but will it aid or hinder the war effort?

As the war begins to rage around the dome, it has become clear that Lector wants to purge the Natives from the earth. The Tri Tribes are amassing a unity of their own, joined by the Riders of Storm Country, the Soakers of Water Country and ten thousand Realm troops behind them.

Will unity become a reality between the inhabitants of the ravaged earth?

The Earth Dwellers is a culmination of both The Dwellers and Country Saga series, resulting in a mind blowing conclusion as two merge into one. The battle is inevitable. The atrocities of both former President Nailin and King Goff pale in compassion to that of Borg Lector, President of the New City, the Earth Dwellers within the dome. The Natives and Tri Realms need to unite to stop a common enemy from Genocide, but can humanity prevail?

Told from multiple points of view, from the feisty Adele of the Moon Realm, the red hot Siena from Fire Country, with chapters From Dazz (Ice Country) and Tristan (The Sun Realm). It was brilliant! Not only does our favourite prickler Perry makes an appearance, but the collision of world's is often hilarious at times, Siena teaching Roc 'Desert Language' my personal favourite. Yes, it was that scorchin' funny.

But The Earth Dwellers, although not intentionally, carries an crucial message about being accepting of one another, without bias, bigotry, sexism or racial vilification... And I absolutely adored it and are sad to say goodbye to the characters I've grown to love.

The Earth Dwellers will cap off an eighteen month journey that has taken me from unknown Indie author to still-mostly-unknown fulltime Indie author. The change is a subtle one for most people, but for me it’s a dream come true. To the hundreds (and now maybe even thousands!) of readers who have come along for the ride with me, either by reading the Dwellers Saga, the Country Saga, or both, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now down to business. There may be some of you who have only read the three books in the Country Saga or only the three books in the Dwellers Saga, and are now thinking you’ll read The Earth Dwellers, which is supposedly the 4th book in BOTH the Country Saga and the Dwellers Saga. Well, that’s awesome! However, I must highly recommend that before reading The Earth Dwellers that you read the three books in BOTH series. Trust me, doing so will greatly enhance your experience, as The Earth Dwellers will be taking significant characters from both series and crashing them together (yes, like a water country wave) into an action-packed tale of struggle and loss and hope and friendship… And maybe
a little love, too.

Recently he’s been inspired by some of his favorite authors, like Suzanne Collins, Veronica Roth, and Maggie Stiefvater.

David’s a writer with OCD, a love of dancing and singing (but only when no one is looking or listening), a mad-skilled ping-pong player, an obsessive Goodreads group member, and prefers writing at the swimming pool to writing at a table.  He loves responding to e-mails, Facebook messages, Tweets, blog comments, and Goodreads comments from his readers, all of whom he considers to be his friends.

Origin By Jennifer L Armentrout

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

Bethany's rescue and Blake's betrayal have left Katy at the mercy of Daedalus. Trapped and utterly alone, she's been transported to a secure government facility in Navada, where she is expected to cooperate, branding her a risk to national security. Katy is a hybrid, a result of being healed by an alien life form, simply known as the Luxen, and now has unimaginable power, strength and speed. Daedalus are taking precautions to ensure hybrids are controlled, tainted and tortured. Katy's only hope is that boyfriend, and Luxen Daemon, steers clear of the facility.

It's been thirty one hours and forty one minutes since Kat was captured, and Daemon has been counting every moment. His friends and family have detained him in a secure location within the Luxen community, knowing he wants nothing more than to find his Kitten. He refuses to sit idly by while Kat is likely being tortured. Seeing how the facility has drained Beth of life, he needs to free Kat... And fast. He no longer has the support of the Luxen community, their disgust at his willingness to risk his race, for that of a human girl. He'll burn the world down to save her.

Daedalus are claiming that the Luxen have it wrong. They are humanitarians, developing a potent serum designed to illness and terminal diseases within the human race, and the hybrid and Luxan genes are invaluable in the process. Katy is put through a series of exams to test her stability, but nothing could have prepared her for facing off against other hybrids, a potential fight to the death. Kat refuses to fight back, she won't allow Daedalus to steal her humanity, especially with thoughts of Bethany and Dawson fresh in her mind. But when Blake is brought in to push Katy to her limits... She may not be able to hold back any longer.

Daemon wants to be captured, figuring it's the only way he can be taken to Kat. A visit to club owner Luc finds Daemon with an unlikely mutual benefit, Luc wants the potent serum being tested at Daedalus, in exchange for aiding in Kat's release. Luc has an inside contact, and Daemon has no choice other than to trust him and after Blake's betrayal, that is no easy feat.

There are forty five thousand Luxen here on Earth, the Daedalus estimate that nine thousand of those want human kind enslaved, and need to be dealt with. The government facility are building an army, one the world has never seen before, and hybrids and submissive Luxen alike are an integral part of the fight. The statistics are astounding, will Kat entertain the idea that the world is in jeopardy, believing those that are keeping her captive? When Daemon arrives, the two know they need to fight for their survival and escape the claws of their captors. When they discover a group of unrestrained and deadly Origins, it seems the Daedalus truly are on the brink of preparing for war.

But they never expected one of their own to be working against them, and not all of them will survive. The Vegas Strip will alight the world.

Origin was explosive, from beginning to end. Told in dual points of view, from the detained Kat, to Daemon, who is looking to free her. The government has devised a plan to create a perfect race, free of illness and disease, called Origins. They are being harnessed as a supernatural army, to wipe out those who want to see the humans enslaved.

The Lux series is brilliant, and Origin is no different. Loveable characters, and Jennifer L Armentrout has created a world where readers will no doubt find themselves lost between the pages and fully immersed. The cheeky reference to the character's from Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins was very cute indeed.

Loved it!
