There's bound to be trouble in Paradise...When her parents decide a change will be good for her, seventeen year old Lexie Atkinson never expected they'd send her all the way to Paradise City. Coming from a predictable life of homeschooling on a rural Australian property, she just knows that Paradise will be amazing. But when she's thrust into a public school without a friendly face in sight, and forced to share a room with her insipid, hateful cousin Amanda, Lexie's not so sure.Hanging out with the self proclaimed beach bums of the city, sneaking out, late night parties and parking with boys are all things Lexie's never experienced, but all that's about to change. It's new, terrifying... And exciting. And when Lexie meets Luke Ballantine, the swoon-worthy, bad boy leader of the group, the chemistry between them is electric. Trouble with a capital T, Luke is impulsive, charming and answers to no one, and he's sexier than any guy Lexie has ever known. Lexie begins to wonder if Luke is going to be good for her... Or very, very bad?
Thank for this giveaway, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like an awesome book :3
It truly was Frannie. I'm a big fan of the author and was reading her Summer series back when she was an independent author. I love books based on the Aussie summer, they always remind me of my teen years and she's such a wonderful storyteller, and queen of the crossover contemporaries.
DeleteHey! You changed again! It looks awesome in here. :) Always wanted to check out this author. Perhaps now is a good time.
ReplyDeleteI did Joy, just needed a new look and absolutely love this one.
DeleteCheck her out on Amazon, her first book The Boys of Summer is currently free and such an incredible read Click here to download it free on Amazon
Oh my god haha! This sounds super cheesy, Kelly Bear. Definitely not for me. xD
ReplyDeleteIt is, but such a fun and flirty read. It's awesome for breaking up heavy fantasy novels especially. But the romance it pretty intense actually and is the perfect example of one of those crossover books from young adult to new adult. I'm a big fan of the author. You should give book one in her Summer series a try Aimee, I have a feeling you'd really enjoy that one.
DeleteOMG KELLY YOU GOT YET ANOTHER NEW LOOK I HEART IT IT'S GORGEOUS.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, so great that you liked this one! I've seen this one around but I honestly don't think it's my cup of tea.
Thanks for sharing, luv <33
Aww, thanks poppet. Actually, I think this one will appeal to the wider audience. It's not heavy on sexual content, but rather an intense romance and a fish out of water kind of story. It's wonderfully written, give it a go. It might really surprise you.
DeleteI've just started this and am actually really enjoying it more than I at first thought. Yes, it's a bit cliche and cheesy, but sometimes it's nice to have a break and read something like this.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have said it better myself Eugenia. And there's something so incredibly unique about being able to relate to coming of age contemporaries that are set in Australia as well.
